Terms of Service
By accessing or using bootleggift.com (the "Site") or placing any order, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") - a binding agreement between you and Bootleg Gift. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By using the Site you confirm you are 18+ and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.
2. Our service
Bootleg Gift turns photos you upload into a custom bootleg-style design and prints that design on apparel (t-shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie) on demand. We currently ship only to the United States, Canada, and Australia.
3. Custom, made-to-order products
Every product is unique, printed only after you pay. Production starts within 1–3 business days of the order. Because items are personalised, returns for change of mind are not accepted. See Returns & Refunds for the limited cases (printer defect, damage in transit, wrong item) where we replace or refund.
4. Acceptable use & image rights
You are solely responsible for what you upload. By uploading any photo, you confirm:
- You own the photo or have explicit permission from every recognisable person in it.
- The photo does not include copyrighted material you do not own (brand logos, movie stills, celebrity likenesses, athlete portraits, etc.).
- The photo does not depict nudity, sexual content, violence, gore, hate speech, illegal activity, or content that targets or harasses any individual.
- You are not using likenesses of public figures (politicians, celebrities, athletes) without their consent.
We may refuse, cancel, or refund any order that violates the above, and may permanently disable repeat-violating accounts/IPs. If we cancel before production, you get a full refund.
5. Licence to process your images
By uploading a photo, you grant Bootleg Gift a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, modify, and print that image solely for the purpose of generating your design and fulfilling your order. We do not use your photos to train AI models, sell, sublicense, or display them anywhere off the Site.
For privacy + security, uploaded photos are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after the generated design is delivered and the order is marked fulfilled. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
6. Intellectual property
The Bootleg Gift name, logo, templates, prompt designs, AI generation pipeline, and site code are owned by Bootleg Gift and protected by copyright + trademark law. You may not copy, modify, scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them.
Once you pay, you receive a personal, non-commercial licence to use the generated design and the printed product. You may not resell prints, sublicense the design, or use it for advertising / commercial purposes without our written consent.
7. Pricing & payment
Prices are shown at checkout in the currency configured for your store/region. US sales tax is calculated at checkout when applicable. International orders may incur customs duties / import taxes that are paid by the customer at delivery.
Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and your payment provider (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card, etc.). We never store your card details. Promotional discounts (e.g. "30% off") apply to the regular retail price shown as a strikethrough. Promo codes cannot be stacked unless explicitly stated.
8. Production & shipping
We ship to the United States, Canada, and Australia only. Production time: 1–3 business days. Shipping window: 3–7 business days (US), 6–9 business days (Canada), 9–14 business days (Australia). 9. Disclaimers
The Site and products are provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, that AI generation will always produce results to your taste, or that color reproduction will exactly match what you see on your screen (monitor calibration varies). The AI-generated design is intended to be a stylised bootleg-aesthetic interpretation of your uploaded photos - not a photo-accurate portrait.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bootleg Gift is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or products. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the affected order.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bootleg Gift harmless from any claim, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising from photos or content you uploaded that violate these Terms or any third-party right.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bootleg Gift is registered (currently Bulgaria, EU). Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection law that gives you a stronger remedy at your place of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted; continued use after the change is deemed acceptance.
